Crianlarich is a major crossroads and, from signposts scattered far away throughout Scotland, it would appear that ‘all roads lead to Crianlarich’!

From the South and Glasgow

Heading north into Glasgow on the M74 at junction 22 exit the M74 onto the M8 westbound (Glasgow Airport/Greenock).

Exit the M8 at junction 30 for the Erskine Bridge (M898).

Cross the bridge and immediately take the left exit signposted Crianlarich on the A82.

The distance From the Erskine Bridge to Crianlarich is 42 miles/68 km.

On approaching Crianlarich the road goes downhill into the village and Hillview is the last house on your right before the railway station.

From the South and Edinburgh

As you travel north to Edinburgh on the A1 you will reach the ‘City Bypass’. Leave the A1 and join the bypass heading west, signposts for the Forth Road Bridge.

Take the M8 exit toward Glasgow/Forth Road Bridge/A90/Stirling/Livingston/M9

At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto M8 motorway.

At junction 2, exit onto M9 towardStirling/A90

At junction 10, take the A84 exit to A85/Stirling/Callander/Crianlarich

At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A84.

Continue onto A85 to Crianlarich. As you reach the middle of the village turn left onto the A82, signposted Glasgow. After a short distance uphill you will reach Hillview on your left hand side.

By Train

On Foot from the West Highland Way

As you approach Crianlarich from Inverarnan you will be above the village in Creag a’ Bheannain woods. You will reach a sign post for the Crianlarich Spur. Follow this spur for 0.6 of a mile/1 km and you will reach the A82 trunk road. Cross over the road onto a pavement and turn right uphill. After 150 yards/140 metres you will reach Hillview b&b on your left.
